The Rider Forms the Horse
A wonderful book published in 1939 has recently been re-published for the benefit of true horsemen. Udo Burger and Otto Zietzschmann describe in clear and precise language how to succesfully train your horse so that he can enjoy a happy, healthy long life. The authors explain the physiological and psychological factors that come into play while training a horse.
The objective of all serious horseman is to become one with our horse. These moments of perfect harmony between horse and rider produce outstanding performances. This harmony should not be interpreted as a matter of technique or simply as harmony of movement. Instead it should be recognized as harmony of mind and spirit. In training it is the ultimate goal to train a willing horse who trusts your guidance and thus uses all of its strength, skill and concentration to achieve the required movement. It is never desirable to force a horse or break his spirit into submission. These techniques are often used by unskilled individuals who create huge problems. Many of those horses find there way to my farm where I retrain and rehabilitate their mind, body and spirit.
This book is a must read for individuals who are serious about learning how to work with their horse. A lifetime is not long enough to discover all the secrets, but this will catapult you toward that goal.

I am desperately trying to find the book the rider forms the horse by udo burger and otto zietzschmann. Would you know where I can find and buy it. Thank you
