Is Your Horse Adjustable?

The challenge of riding a successful cross country course is to gallop along in the open spaces and collect enough to negotiate the combinations and single obstacles with ease. A valuable excercise to meet this challenge is to set up a series of bounces with a bending line to a normal 4 strides and another bending line of 4 strides. Next ride this excercise with a 3 to a 5 and reverse it. Then go back to a 4 to a 4. For more difficulty try a 3 to a 6 and reverse. This is a wonderful test of steering, balance, suppleness and elasticity.
